Over the past 9 years of Eliza running Cheer Up Luv and evolving the feminist platform into what it is today, a key part of that process has been delivering impactful talks and workshops.

Eliza has worked with and developed key workshops for brands, charities, organisations, schools, universities and workplaces such as; Storyhouse Women, Today At Apple, Nicer Tuesdays, Soho House, Forbes Ignite, Photo London, TEDxUAL, The Photographers Gallery, Superdrug, Cambridge University and the V&A.

Cheer Up Luv: Talks

✨ Cheer Up Luv Talks ✨ is a brand new panel series from Eliza Hatch exploring pressing issues affecting women, girls, and the queer community. The first panel focused on misogyny in music, inspired by Eliza’s recent photo and interview project with Glamour UK, and featured incredible insights from Mica Sefia, Eve Horne, Moonchild Sanelly & Lucy Morgan 🖤

The series aims to not only spotlight challenges but also explore solutions, inspire action, and put pressure on those with power to make change. Each talk will bring together different experts and topics impacting women, from financial and tech literacy, to healthcare, to education to continue the conversation, in different locations.

WHAT DO YOU CARE ABOUT?

Summary: An thought-provoking and dynamic workshop focused on problem solving, mind-mapping and creating solutions to social problems.

Aims: To create a visual guide to finding out what you care about, and how you can create meaningful change.

Who: This workshop is appropriate for all age groups and advised for groups with an interest in social issues and activism.

PHOTO ACTIVISM

Summary: A creative and empowering workshop focused on activism, advocacy and documentary photography.

Aims: Using disposable cameras to explore photography, journalism and storytelling (can be adapted for different scenarios)

Who: This workshop is appropriate for all age groups and advised for groups with an interest in social issues and activism.

SELF-PORTRAIT

Summary: An empowering and interactive workshop focused on storytelling, narrative building, creativity and self-expression.

Aims: To create a wall of interwoven experiences and self-portraits using instant film (polaroids). This workshop can be adapted for different scenarios/audiences.

Who: This workshop is ideal for younger age groups, but can be adapted for all. No previous photography skills required.

How To Creatively Challenge Harassment: Saturday, 10th May 2025 Storyhouse Chester

In May 2025, Eliza took part in Storyhouse Women, a weekend of cultural events in Chester celebrating women. Eliza took part in three events, and was the keynote speaker of the weekend. As well as taking part in a panel with a group of changemakers and hosting a fireside chat with Ben Hurst from Beyond Equality, Eliza delivered a speech about how art and social media can challenge societal norms, empower individuals, and reclaim public spaces.
